As the Holiday season is gearing up, so do the big brands.

Let’s face it, if here is one period of the year when none of us is counting on the spending, it’s now! So, it’s only right the big player in the clothing game are aiming to get our full attention.

When H&M announced that their 2017 Holiday campaign film will star Nicki Minaj alongside Jesse Williams and John Turturro, all this directed by Johan Renck, I believe it’s fair to say that they got our full attention. I mean go figure, could you picture a short movie with Nicki Minaj actually wearing clothes??? I know, it’s hard to imagine, so just for that, I wanna check that movie and see how Johan Renck pulled it off.

The film tells a story of a parallel fantasy world filled with memorable characters and a universal message of caring for one another.

When asked, Nicki was all hype about it: “I love the film’s overall empowering message. I love seeing this young girl become the champion that lives in all of us. There’s always magic in the air during the Holidays.”

Basically, it’s a modern take on the classic fairytale, the film centers around a heroic little girl who tracks down the evil brother of Santa Claus in order to save the holiday season from his selfishness. Nicki Minaj stars as the mother of the little girl as well as the fabulous fairy named the Wisest Thingy, while Jesse Williams plays the dual role of the father and the supernatural Fastest Fairy, and John Turturro takes on the part of both Santa Claus and the evil brother of Santa Claus.

Oh, and did I mentioned that a wide range of festive fashion for the whole family and selected garments seen in the film will be available during the Holiday campaign period, which means…now.
